Design and implementation of the 2016-2020 strategic plan

Context & objectives:

STB is a a leading public player in the financial industry in Tunisia.In 2016, STB initiated the definition of a medium-term strategic plan aimed at implementing the reforms agreed with the Tunisian authorities for public banks, and putting the bank back on the path to growth.The bank needed assistance to :

  • complete the developement of the startegic plan through a collaborative approach that would involve the bank key staff
  • implement the strategic plan

Main achievements & impacts
  • Developement of a holistic startegic plan in 3 months, including a new strategic vision, the scoping and prioritization of a portfolio of around 50 projects classified in 10 startegic streams (organization, services and products roadmap, commercial and operationnal efficieny, NPL management, digital transformation, risk management, Human Resources...) and a 5 years business plan
  • Involvment of around 200 key staff from the bank in teh process
  • Top management coaching
  • Assistance to manage the startegic plan implementationd during 12 months
  • Achievement of business plan targets year by year up to 2020
